A graduation recital consisting of original compositions, arrangements, adaptations, research, and traditional musical performances, “Silver Linings” features Kristen Gleeson-Prata on percussion, drums, vocals, and more in remote collaboration with friends and mentors at CalArts.
The show features fellow students Ching-Yu Huang (percussion), Chance Utter (percussion), Cole Castorina (percussion), Maya Paredes (voice+keys), Anna Abondolo (bass+voice), Anaís Azul (voice), Gabe Perluss (voice), Nick Brown (keys+bass), Rosa Evangelina (voice), Gabriela Padilla (voice), Joey Archie (trumpet), Seth Giles (trombone), Amanda Campos (sax), and Navid Naima (bass); teachers and mentors Andrew Grueschow, Yeko Ladzekpo-Cole, and David Roitstein; and guest artists Lucas Santtana, Miranda Rondeau, Charlotte D’Evelyn, Kozue Matsumoto, Anuradha Pal, and Kristin Olsen. Drone footage, animation, and mixing by dear friends Nick Goldston, Hayley Batt, and Steve Bone respectively. All traditional material is thanks to and in tribute to my teachers Randy Gloss, Andrew Grueschow, Yeko Ladzekpo-Cole, Swapan Chaudhuri, Sulley Imoro, Joey de Leon, David Roitstein, and Jim Owen.
